Check out the tour locations:

Beverly and Jim Putnam

123 Preston Trail, Kings Mountain

Coming from a family of gardeners, Beverly has spent much of the last 25 years fashioning their yard with passalongs from old home places and friends. Azaleas which originated in Charleston, irises from the farm, bulbs and cuttings from cousins and gifts from fellow Master Gardeners. Most recently, she acquired a rooting of a fig tree from her mother’s homeplace in Charlotte which has been gone over 20 years, and a banana tree from her sister, who passed away last year. If the garden were to have a theme, it would be love and memories.

Small art works based on the garden will be available for purchase (cash only).

Shannon King

Le Chateau du Coeur

527 Whitaker Road, Boiling Springs

Nestled in the gentle rolling hills of Cleveland County, the chateau’s gardens offer a refined blend of European elegance and Southern grace. A winding gravel path leads guests through manicured hedges beside the pool with massive stone waterfalls and along the vine-draped pergola.

At the heart of the garden lies a formal parterre, roses burst with seasonal blooms along with hydrangeas, and lilies —carefully curated to offer vibrant color from early spring through late autumn. Stone and copper fountains and classical statuary lend a timeless quality.

Beyond the formal grounds, a woodland trail meanders through native dogwoods, redbuds and flowering shrubs, opening onto the pastures. Here, the landscape shifts from cultivated refinement to natural serenity.

Andy and Jennifer Elmore

810 East Stagecoach Trail, Fallston

The historic “Lackey House” dates back to 1912 and features a shaded garden with cozy corners and original plantings that are the basis of the garden. One highlight is a pink azalea that has been here since the early days of the homeplace. Guests will find hydrangeas, hellbores, azaleas, hostas, ferns and more throughout the place. Free parking will be available at The Historic Stamey Event Center.

Bill and Beth Cameron

3016 Bettis Road, Grover

Located one mile south of Earl on 37 acres of former cotton fields, walk through lanes of transplanted day-lilies, daffodils, shrubs and trees. “Forest bathe” your senses as you stroll 100 yards or a mile or take a ride in a golf cart.  Walk to the two cabins, covered bridge and pond by fording a creek.

Dennis and Mary Beam

1404 Stonegate Drive, Shelby

The Beam residence exemplifies outdoor living at its finest. Thoughtfully designed and expertly maintained, the property features expansive decks that overlook a private, spacious backyard and inviting pool area. An outdoor bar offers the perfect setting for entertaining poolside guests, while beautiful plantings provide year-round interest and vibrant seasonal color. From large gathering spaces to quiet moments, this landscape and outdoor living area is a showcase of functional beauty for all seasons.
