Behind the beautiful Western Red Cedar siding, this tiny home hides the indulgent comfort and cozy ambiance of a sumptuous sanctuary. The Tranquil Craftsman has housed at least two different sets of owners so far, and this is a closer look at what it had to offer at the time it found its second owner as a pre-loved home on wheels.
This beautiful home with a traditional look stands out particularly due to an unexpected perk in the form of a supremely cozy outdoor area for relaxation and socializing with friends and family. This tiny but very appealing outdoor oasis was created through simple and smart solutions. The first step was to add an exterior deck that would be big enough for a cozy al-fresco setup yet still compact enough so that it wouldn’t interfere with the overall mobility.

The smart deck with self-leveling support was designed to be easily folded against the home’s French doors and securely hooked during transportation, so that it could easily and safely travel along with the tiny house. That way, the owners of the Tranquil Craftsman were able to travel freely and still enjoy the comfort of a hassle-free outdoor extension. The Sunbrella awning installed over the French doors was the final step in creating this modern little oasis, a perfect spot for enjoying nature any time of the day or year.
Having a deck on the go is always a plus for a mobile habitat, and it makes the Tranquil Craftsman even more comfortable. This is truly a cozy sanctuary, inside and out. The outdoor extension was designed to perfectly fit the home’s configuration with its rear entrance and French doors. This way, the compact deck seems to literally become an extension of the indoor lounge.
With two large windows on each side and French doors in front, this spacious area is perfectly designed for an immersive experience. Due to the contemporary-style open layout, it transitions seamlessly into the kitchen/dining area, creating the illusion of a wider space. A folding table, a couple of chairs, and some soft cushions were enough to create another cozy spot in this transition area that is perfect both for informal dining and relaxation.

A huge white farmhouse-style sink is one of the first things that catches the eye as you step inside the kitchen area. All the basic appliances were neatly incorporated, including a small fridge under the countertop and a range hood. Style-wise, the dark brown countertop, and the cream-white cabinets are also reminiscent of traditional farmhouses. The brown leather pull handles are the perfect match: a sophisticated touch that instantly makes the interior much more elegant.
The sharp contrast between the white shiplap walls, on the one hand, and the chocolate brown floors and dark brown wooden furniture, on the other hand, is what gives this home its striking appearance. Instead of basic designs, the lofts feature elegant wooden floors and safety railings, ramping up both comfort and style. The smaller loft boasts an industrial-style metal railing and is accessed via a removable ladder in order to free up enough floor space for the lounge. The bedroom is designed to be much more comfortable; it connects to the ground floor via a classic staircase with a sturdy handrail that extends into a slated protection wall.
The bedroom is also much more luminous, thanks to the two large windows on each side of the bed, plus a big skylight. Windows were also strategically placed in the kitchen/dining area, to keep it from becoming too dark and ensure proper airflow.

As for the bathroom, it’s just as elegant and bright as the rest of the home. The rounded shower cabin is another unexpected touch that enhances comfort and style (Tiny Heirloom is known for its sophisticated creations with extreme attention to detail). At the time of the sale, an eco-friendly composting toilet was in place, but the house was set up for a conventional toilet.
In terms of space efficiency, the bathroom was cleverly designed to incorporate a washer/dryer unit, as well as ample storage, including an extra cabinet and multiple shelves. In other words, both the kitchen and the bathroom of the Tranquil Craftsman were ideally equipped for comfortable long-term living.
Despite its classic style, this 26-foot (7.9-meter) tiny home hides the modern accents that can be found in any contemporary abode, including LED lighting, USB ports in the bedrooms for comfortable charging, and appliances for the perfect temperature year-round. Additionally, those who wanted to take a step further towards sustainability had the option of easily installing a solar package with pre-set connections already in place.

The aptly named Tranquil Craftsman could easily be considered a lesson in comfortable living within the limits of a tiny space. Classic style and carefully added details turned its interior into a true home with a flawless comfort level, while the adorable exterior oasis with a deck and an awning expanded this comfy, inviting ambiance outdoors.
